±1±: Best Buy Positives: My 2 year old daughter received this for her birthday and has used it every night since. She asks for her stars during nap time also, but it's too light in her room during the day. It projects the stars onto the ceiling of her room and has a nice effect. Depending on where you place the turtle, there can be stars across the whole ceiling. (The farther away, the bigger the stars.) We put it on an ottoman in the center of her room and it fills the whole ceiling and a bit of the walls. (Her room is about 12x12.) Everyone who has seen it comments on how cool it looks and wants to know where I got it. It has also been helpful getting her to stay in her toddler bed at night.
Things that Might Matter to You: The blue lights are better than the green as far as clarity, and the light up sea animals don't impress her much. (They don't project onto the ceiling, just light up on the turtle.) It would be really nice if the stars rotated somehow, but it doesn't seem to bother my daughter. It's not a toy for her to play with and we keep it put away until bedtime. That said the positives totally outweigh the negatives. on Sale!

±1±: Best Buy I have had this item on my wishlist for a while now, and this year I decided to finally treat myself for my birthday and purchased it. I'm a big kid at heart and I love sea turtles; I'm also a stargazer and I love the ocean and celestial themes, so this satisfied me on a number of levels.
This turtle comes with green and blue lights, or you can use both green and blue together to have a double pattern on the ceiling. The stars are soft and pretty clear - not extremely sharp, but not indistinct at all - even with the toy being placed on a low table in a room with very high ceilings. You can clearly make out that they are stars and the edges, while soft and not razor sharp, are distinct and unmistakable. They aren't simply blobs of light. The light emitted is not harsh at all, but quite soothing and richly hued blue and/or green, not pale or watery. The plush part of the nightlight is very soft and of high quality. The battery compartment has a screw in it to avoid it accidentally coming apart, which would be convenient for children. There is also an off switch you can set when it won't be used for a long time to further conserve battery power.
I am very happy that I finally went ahead and purchased this charming little item at last. I showed it to a friend of mine, who will probably be getting the ladybug version for his wife, who loves ladybugs. I highly recommend this nightlight for kids of all ages! on Sale!

±1±: Best Buy The twilight turtle works great!! I've been ranting a raving about it with family and friends since I got it. It's one of those things that you just have to share since it's so great. We bought one for each of our kids rooms. It has really helped our kids sleep better. For a while our 2 year old wasn't letting us turn his light off, which was affecting his sleep, but now he's ok with it since he has his star turtle. I've even snuck it so I can use it after the kids are asleep. Some people have complained about the Amber colored light, but ours works great it's just a little duller then the other colors. It works in large or small rooms. It takes 3-AAA batteries, which it comes with and it has a 45 minute sleep timer so they don't run out too fast. I like that I don't have to plug it in because my son plays with the plugs and plus I can put it anywhere in the room. Obviously the projection covers more of the room if it's in the center. It projects best if it's on a flat surface approximately 5 to 6 feet from the ceiling. The closer the turtle is to the ceiling, the smaller the stars are and less wall space covered by the stars. It's body is like a soft stuffed animal and the shell is a hard plastic. It lights up in 3 colors, Green, Blue & Amber and you can pick which color for it to do. It works best on light colored walls and projects 8 constellations and the moon and it comes with a booklet that shows you what the different constellations are. on Sale!
