My 2 year old daughter received this for her birthday and has used it every night since. She asks for her stars during nap time also, but it's too light in her room during the day. It projects the stars onto the ceiling of her room and has a nice effect. Depending on where you place the turtle, there can be stars across the whole ceiling. (The farther away, the bigger the stars.) We put it on an ottoman in the center of her room and it fills the whole ceiling and a bit of the walls. (Her room is about 12x12.) Everyone who has seen it comments on how cool it looks and wants to know where I got it. It has also been helpful getting her to stay in her toddler bed at night.

Things that Might Matter to You:
The blue lights are better than the green as far as clarity, and the light up sea animals don't impress her much. (They don't project onto the ceiling, just light up on the turtle.) It would be really nice if the stars rotated somehow, but it doesn't seem to bother my daughter. It's not a toy for her to play with and we keep it put away until bedtime. That said the positives totally outweigh the negatives. on Sale!
